Variations on the Chinese garden stool

The Chinese garden stool is a low stool (only about 20" high) that typically is round on top, bulges out, and then tapers to the bottom. It is great as a home accessory, a side table, or even a place to sit. The one pictured above, from Oriental Furniture
is a real example of chinoiserie, with a black lacquer finish and mother-of-pearl appliques.
